This area is not very suitable for pedestrians because meeting daily needs is very challenging without a car. Collins is also not very suited for cycling because the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there are a fair number of slopes.

House buyers in Collins almost always have to turn to a car to travel to the nearest supermarket. As far as education is concerned, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this area and consequently they can be a very long pedestrian trip away.
