However, this neighborhood is not an especially pleasant part of Knoxville for moving around by public transit. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by. Traveling as a pedestrian in this part of the city is not very popular, even though carrying out daily needs is easy without a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are rather close by. College Hills is also not especially bike-friendly as the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and cyclists encounter a considerable amount of slopes.

At the same time, this area is very good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, although that is not the case near one of the railway lines.
