Clive offers a peaceful environment characterized by tranquil streets and well-spread green spaces perfect for relaxation. The neighborhood includes a mix of single detached homes and small apartment buildings, featuring many three-bedroom and larger residences built primarily in the 1990s. Convenient access to highways such as I-35 allows for easy travel by car, with ample parking available near residences and shopping areas. Nearby restaurants, cafes, and pharmacies add to the convenience, with some retail options within easy reach. Public bus lines run through the city with stops conveniently located. This community provides a calm setting complemented by practical amenities nearby.
Clive is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the nearest highway, such as I-35, from any location in this part of the Greater Des Moines metropolitan area. On the other hand, the public transit in this city is not very accessible. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. There aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Clive, despite the fact that running daily errands is easy without a car, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Clive is also not especially appropriate for cycling since there are a limited number of bike lanes, and the topography is not especially flat.
It can be challenging to access high schools and primary schools from houses for sale in this city. Property owners have the option of public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level. As far as eating is concerned, a supermarket is typically reachable within a reasonably short distance from most houses for sale in this city. Additionally, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of opportunities, and there are also around 30 coffee shops in Clive.
Clive is appealing, as it has both vibrant and quiet areas. Although the ambience is not the most lively in this city finding one of the about 30 nightlife venues is easy as they are generally located a short distance away. At the same time, this city is especially quiet overall, as the streets are especially peaceful. Green spaces are spread out sporadically, which makes it occasionally hard to reach them. Despite that, there are over 100 green spaces close by for residents to discover, like Colby Woods and Timberline Park.
