Chili offers a serene and tranquil environment with spacious single detached homes and townhouses predominantly built around 1977. The town features mostly larger residences with three or four or more bedrooms, catering to those seeking generous living spaces. Accessibility by car is excellent, with easy access to major highways such as I-90 and convenient parking options nearby. Residents have access to both public and private elementary schools as well as several dining options within a short drive. Chili also includes a handful of parks dispersed throughout the area, providing pleasant green spaces for outdoor relaxation and recreation.

Driving is usually the best means of transportation in this area. It is very easy to park, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as I-390. However, the public transit network in this area is quite poor. Nonetheless, the town is served by about 30 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually close by. Cycling is challenging in this area since the bicycling infrastructure is quite bad, and there are a fair number of elevation changes. Most houses for sale in this town are located in areas that are also not very conducive to those who like to get around as pedestrians as very few common errands can be run without a vehicle.

Services

There are only a very small number of high schools and primary schools in Chili and accordingly they can be a very long distance away. Locals can choose between public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. As far as food is concerned, in most cases, a vehicle is needed to purchase groceries in one of about 10 stores. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes is available as well.

Character

Chili is a town to buy a house in for those who prefer a laid-back ambience. Chili is relatively calm, due to the presence of very few pedestrians. Reaching public green spaces, like Chestnut Ridge Nature Center and Crittenden Road Ball Diamonds, is occasionally difficult within the town since they are distributed sporadically. Despite that, there are over 50 parks close by for residents to relax in.
