Cars are a very good mode of transportation in this city. It is very convenient to park, and it is a reasonably short drive to the nearest highway, such as US Highway 85, from any location in Cheyenne. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very popular in this city, although carrying out daily needs is easy without a car. Biking is also at times challenging in Cheyenne since there are a fair number of hills. Nevertheless, Cheyenne has fairly good cycling infrastructure.
It is occasionally feasible for property owners in Cheyenne to purchase their groceries as pedestrians. Likewise, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a good number of opportunities, and there are also approximately 30 cafes in Cheyenne. In terms of education, it is a reasonably short trip to reach primary as well as high schools from any location in Cheyenne. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.
Cheyenne is a fairly good city to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. The noise levels in Cheyenne are quite low, as the streets are reasonably tranquil - although there are still several louder sections, especially near one of the 2 airports (Cheyenne Rgnl/Jerry Olson Field,Sloan), one of the railway lines, US Highway 87 or I-80.
