Chesapeake
Chesapeake offers a tranquil and quiet environment with very low noise levels from streets and surroundings. The community features primarily single detached houses and townhouses, many of which were built before 1960 or after 2000, with a good variety of three- and four-bedroom options. This neighborhood provides convenient access to primary schools through a short commute and offers choices in both public and private education at elementary and secondary levels. Residents have access to over 50 supermarkets and more than 350 diverse dining options throughout the area. Multiple green spaces nearby provide opportunities for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. Driving is easy, with accessible parking and proximity to major highways.
The car is very often the preferred transportation option in this area. Accessing a parking spot is quite easy, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway, such as I-64, from any location in Chesapeake. However, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. Nonetheless, house owners can depend on Military Highway Station, Ballentine Broad Creek Station and Ingleside Road Station with access to the The Tide. There are approximately 20 bus lines crossing the city, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Although it is a flat ride to most locations, cycling is challenging in Chesapeake because the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. It is also challenging for pedestrians to navigate this area because running day-to-day errands is sometimes difficult without needing to get in a car.
It is rarely an option for house buyers in this area to shop for groceries as pedestrians. A small number of restaurants and cafes are available as well. Concerning education, primary schools are convenient to access as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in this city. On the other hand, home owners may consider it very hard to access high schools without needing a car. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.
Home buyers who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Chesapeake. Chesapeake is very good for those who like quiet areas, as the streets are generally very peaceful. Green spaces are sparse, making them occasionally challenging to access from the majority of locations within this city. Despite that, there are over 200 parks close by for residents to visit, including Chesapeake Arboretum and Stumpy Lake Natural Area.
