Chesapeake Beach offers a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere with mostly quiet streets throughout the town. The community features primarily single detached homes alongside some townhouses, many built around the early 1990s, providing well-established residential options. Residents have convenient access to parking and benefit from several nearby bus lines that service the area. For dining needs, the neighborhood offers some opportunities with local restaurants and cafes situated close by. While grocery stores are accessible to many, this town shines with its calm environment and spacious housing options consisting mainly of three and four-bedroom homes, making it a desirable place to settle.
The preferred approach to navigate this part of the Greater Washington metropolitan area is usually driving. It is especially convenient to park. However, residents using public transit may find few choices in Chesapeake Beach due to the low service level. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the town, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by. Chesapeake Beach is not very suited for bicycling as bike riders encounter a considerable amount of slopes, and the cycling network is not very extensive. A majority of the homes for sale in this town are located in places that are also not very convenient for people who travel as pedestrians as running common errands is difficult without a car.
A supermarket is ordinarily accessible within a short trip from anywhere in Chesapeake Beach. There are also a few opportunities for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. As far as education is concerned, there are only a few primary schools in this part of the Greater Washington metropolitan area and consequently they can be a rather long distance away.
