Cars are an excellent transportation option in Charlestown. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and it is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. Charlestown is not very suited for biking as there are a fair number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and this part of the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area is home to rather limited cycling infrastructure. Charlestown is also not very convenient for pedestrians as very few daily needs can be met without a vehicle.
