Driving is very often the preferred way to navigate Charleston. It is very convenient to find a place to park, and nearby highways, such as I-94, are moderately easy to access from anywhere in Charleston. Biking is challenging in Charleston since there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and the cycling infrastructure is quite bad.
