Central offers a blend of housing options including duplexes, single detached homes, and various apartment sizes, with many properties dating back to before the 1960s. Residents have convenient access to multiple bus lines, as well as nearby highways with ample parking, facilitating smooth car travel. The neighborhood features a pleasant mix of quiet residential areas and more vibrant commercial streets, providing varied environments within close proximity. Grocery stores, eateries, cafes, and both public and private elementary schools are all located within easy reach. The cycling network covers the area well, adding to the neighborhood’s connectivity and convenience.
Many of the homes for sale in this neighborhood are located in places that are reasonably convenient for those who prefer to get around as pedestrians; running common errands is easy without the use of a vehicle, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Despite the fact that the bicycling network is well-developed, Central is not particularly appropriate for cycling since there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave. Central is car friendly. Nearby highways are reasonably easy to drive to from any home in this area, and it is convenient to find a place to park. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is difficult in Central. Thankfully, there are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighborhood, and bus stops are typically very close by.

It is also convenient to reach a variety of clothing stores without the need to get in a car. In terms of education, it is a short distance to access primary as well as high schools from anywhere in Central. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.
