Castlewood
Castlewood is a peaceful township characterized by its calm and quiet environment, offering residents a serene living experience. The housing options primarily include single detached homes and row houses, with many properties featuring four or more bedrooms, providing spacious accommodations to meet diverse needs. A notable portion of the housing stock was constructed in the 1990s, complementing a variety of architectural styles present from earlier decades. Parking is convenient, supporting easy vehicle access throughout the area. While the terrain presents some hills, the township’s tranquil streets enhance its overall charm and sense of community.
Castlewood is particularly car friendly. It is very easy to come across a place to park. This township is not very suited for cycling because there are a good number of hills, and there are very few bike lanes. It is also very difficult for pedestrians to navigate Castlewood as most day-to-day needs are nearly impossible to carry out without a vehicle.
Some, but not all, house buyers in this area will reside within a short distance of the closest supermarket. A limited number of restaurants can be found in this township as well. Concerning education, neither high schools nor primary schools are easy to access without a vehicle.
