In contrast, this part of Garland is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Carriagehouse is not especially bike-friendly as the bicycling network is not very extensive. Thankfully, it is a flat ride to most destinations. Traveling as a pedestrian is also not very popular in this neighborhood, even though many daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a car.

It is a rather short trip to reach primary schools from anywhere in this area. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Carriagehouse. With regards to eating, it is convenient to reach the closest supermarket as a pedestrian in this area. There is almost no greenery in this neighborhood; although, parks are especially well-distributed and there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit, making them easy to reach. This area is also very good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor.
