Columbus
Busch offers convenient access to major highways, making commuting by car straightforward and parking easy. Several bus lines serve the area with stops located near most residences, providing public transit options. The neighborhood features a variety of small and large apartment buildings, mostly offering one- and two-bedroom units, many constructed during the 1960s and 1970s. Numerous nearby green spaces provide pleasant opportunities for outdoor time, enhancing the neighborhood’s appeal. A selection of local restaurants adds to the convenience of dining options. While cycling infrastructure varies, certain pockets support bicycling despite the neighborhood’s varied terrain. Overall, Busch combines accessibility with residential comfort.
Cars are a great transportation option in this part of the city. The majority of the street infrastructure is well suited for cars, and it is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit system in this area is quite poor. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighborhood, and bus stops are generally around the corner. Bicycling is difficult in Busch because the cycling network is rather poor, and the terrain is not especially flat. Thankfully, a few enjoyable sectors for cycling exist. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very common in Busch, despite the fact that many daily needs are convenient to meet without a car, and plenty of businesses are rather close by.
It is very difficult to reach the closest supermarket as a pedestrian in this neighborhood. Moreover, Busch is a good place in which to go out to eat, and a small number of coffee shops can be found as well. Regarding education, primary schools are not very plentiful in Busch, and therefore often beyond a short distance, and there are no high schools.
There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Busch. Parks, including Edward S. Thomas Nature Preserve off-trail activity Prohibited and John H. McConnell Park, are very well-spread out and there are approximately 20 of them close by for residents to discover, which results in them being easy to get to from most locations within Busch. Lastly, this part of the city is a wonderful neighborhood for those who don't mind some noise, since during busier hours of the day, traffic can occasionally be loud.
