Buckhead is not particularly well-suited for those who get around as pedestrians because few day-to-day needs can be met without a vehicle, and various businesses are rather close by. Buckhead is also not very appropriate for bicycling as the cycling network is quite bad, and there are a good number of hills to challenge cyclists.

Residents may consider it very hard to access high schools and primary schools as pedestrians. Locals can choose between public and private elementary schools. With respect to eating, it is easy to access the nearest grocery store as a pedestrian in Buckhead. In addition, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a fair number of options, and home buyers are served by a few cafes as well.

Parks aren't well-distributed, which makes them very difficult to access from most locations within Buckhead. Despite that, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to discover.
