Cars are an excellent means of transportation in Brooklyn Park. Many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as I-694, and parking is quite easy. On the other hand, the transit in Brooklyn Park is rather poor. Thankfully, residents can depend on the Fridley Station & Platform with access to the Northstar Commuter Rail. House owners have access to about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are usually very close by. The bike is a good means of transportation in Brooklyn Park as there are a fair number of bike lanes, and there are few slopes to confront bike riders. This part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area is not particularly conducive to people who like to travel as pedestrians as few common errands can be run without the use of a car.

It is a reasonably short pedestrian trip to reach primary schools from any location in this part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. In contrast, high schools are not especially numerous and accordingly tend to require a rather long trip to get to. Along with public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. Regarding eating, it is easy to reach the closest grocery store as a pedestrian from any home in Brooklyn Park. Residents benefit from over 200 restaurants and coffee shops as well.
