Its outgoing atmosphere is enhanced by approximately 40 nightlife venues, offering many options for entertainment after dark. Dining options are plentiful with over 150 restaurants and around 20 coffee shops concentrated especially along 8th Street. The neighborhood benefits from excellent public transit access with multiple Metromover stations and about 10 bus lines nearby, ensuring smooth transportation. Well-developed cycling infrastructure and generally flat terrain make riding convenient across the area. The housing mainly consists of modern one and two-bedroom apartments constructed since 2000.

The transit system in this neighborhood is especially practical thanks to plenty of nearby rapid transit stations on the Metromover Inner Loop and Metromover Omni/Brickell Outer Loop, and approximately 30 nearby bus lines. Brickell is also moderately car friendly. It is a very short drive to the nearest highway, such as I-95, from anywhere in Brickell.
