Brentwood has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Brentwood is wonderful for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are generally especially tranquil. However, green spaces, like Elm Leaf Park and Hays Woods, are especially well-located and there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to enjoy, making it easy to access them from a lot of locations in the borough. Lastly, although the ambience is not the liveliest in this part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, its main streets are still quite dynamic, and with its about 20 bars, there are options for nighttime activities.
