Nearby highways, such as US Highway 14, are rather easy to access from anywhere in Box Elder, and it is very convenient to park. It is very challenging for pedestrians to navigate Box Elder as running daily errands is inconvenient without a car. This part of the Rapid City metropolitan area is also not very cycling-friendly since there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave, and there are very few bike lanes.

Reaching the closest supermarket as pedestrians is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in this city. There are also a few options for those who care about nearby restaurants.
