Cars are a very good means of transportation in Boron. It is especially convenient to park. However, traveling by transit can be very difficult in Boron by reason of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the community, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Boron is not very bicycling-friendly because the area is not particularly flat, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. Many of the houses for sale in this community are located in places that are also not very suitable for pedestrians since running common errands is difficult without a vehicle.

Residents will appreciate that wherever their property is located in Boron, secondary schools are close by. In contrast, primary schools are not plentiful and accordingly not always within a short distance. With regards to eating, it is very rarely feasible for property owners in this community to travel to the closest grocery store as pedestrians. Residents of this part of the Bakersfield metropolitan area benefit from a few restaurants.
