Bon Air is also fairly well-suited for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are moderately close at hand. Bon Air is moderately cycling-friendly.
It is generally feasible for home buyers in this part of Pittsburgh to do their groceries as pedestrians. In addition, Bon Air is a fairly good place in which to eat out. Concerning education, there are only a very small number of high schools and primary schools in this neighborhood and consequently they can be a very long pedestrian trip away.
Bon Air is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this neighborhood. Even though this part of Pittsburgh is not known for its vibrancy, with the nightlife venues in nearby neighborhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located very close by. Most areas in Bon Air are very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue closer to one of the railway lines. It is very easy to get to public green spaces in the neighborhood since there are a few of them close by for residents to check out.
