The neighborhood features a significant number of spacious single detached homes, mostly built between 1960 and 1980, providing comfortable living options with three or more bedrooms. Residents benefit from convenient parking and easily navigable streets. The generally flat terrain supports bicycling as an efficient mode of transportation. Access to daily necessities is supported by about ten grocery stores located nearby, along with a select few restaurants and coffee shops. Primary schools are relatively close by, adding to the area's practical living conveniences.

Bohemia is a very convenient part of the Greater New York metropolitan area for driving. Parking is quite easy. In contrast, residents using public transit may experience very few choices in Bohemia due to the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, there is the Oakdale with access to the Montauk Branch. The community is served by a few bus lines. This part of the Greater New York metropolitan area is suited for bicycling as there are a limited number of slopes. In contrast, getting around as a pedestrian in Bohemia is not very popular, even though many daily needs are convenient to meet without a vehicle.

Services

A supermarket is typically reachable within a reasonably short distance from most houses for sale in Bohemia. Furthermore, this community is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat, and a small selection of cafes can be found as well. In terms of education, residents will value that no matter where their house is situated in Bohemia, primary schools are close by. However, high schools are not numerous and accordingly not always within a short distance.

Bohemia offers a calm environment. Bohemia is quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially closer to the airport (Long Island Mac Arthur).
