The bicycle is a fairly poor means of transportation in Biscayne because there are very few bike lanes. Nevertheless, there are a limited number of slopes. Traveling as a pedestrian is also not very practical for residents in this part of Jacksonville since few day-to-day errands can be run without needing a car.
