Traveling by car is especially convenient in this village. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as I-43, and it is very convenient to find a place to park. This village is not very suited for cycling since there are a good number of slopes, and there are very few bike lanes. Big Bend is also not very well-suited for people who prefer to travel as pedestrians because very few common errands can be run without a vehicle.
Services
There are only a very small number of high schools and primary schools in Big Bend and consequently they can be a very long distance away. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. Regarding eating, in the majority of cases, a car is required to shop for groceries. Residents of Big Bend are served by a few restaurants as well.
Character
Big Bend is a fairly good village to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. Big Bend is reasonably quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially around I-43. It is sometimes difficult to access parks in the village since they are sparse. Still, there are approximately 10 parks close by for residents to explore.
