Belleville
Belleville offers a variety of housing options, including duplexes, single detached homes, and small apartment buildings, providing choices for various preferences. The community benefits from convenient access to several public green spaces such as Hendricks Field, enhancing opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation. Residents benefit from proximity to grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops, particularly along Belleville Avenue, supporting everyday needs with ease. Public transportation is accessible through the Silver Lake Light Rail Station and multiple bus lines, connecting the township to nearby areas. Educational institutions, both public and private, serve all grade levels close to most residences, further adding convenience.
This township is convenient for those who like to get around as pedestrians; meeting daily needs is easy without a vehicle, and various businesses are rather close at hand. However, cycling is sometimes challenging in Belleville as cyclists are faced with a significant amount of slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is rather poor. Belleville is reasonably car friendly. Nearby highways are fairly easy to reach from anywhere in this township. However, this township is not particularly transit friendly. Nevertheless, there is the Watsessing Avenue on the Montclair-Boonton Line. House owners can count on plenty of rapid transit stations with access to the Newark Light Rail. There are approximately 20 bus lines crossing the township, and most houses are very close to a bus stop.
In Belleville, locals will usually be able to get to both primary and secondary schools without a car. Apart from public schools, there are also private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. Regarding food, the closest supermarket in this part of the Greater New York metropolitan area is generally only a rather short distance away. Likewise, Belleville is a good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. It is also a rather short distance to a decent selection of clothing stores.
No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a township, Belleville is a fairly good option. The noise levels in Belleville are reasonably low, as the streets are usually calm, although there are still several louder sections, especially around one of the railway lines. On the other hand, it is very easy to access public green spaces in the township, since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to unwind in, including Yantacaw Park and Branch Brook Park. Finally, even though this township is not known for its vibrancy, its busier streets are still quite energetic, and finding one of the around 20 bars is very easy because they are generally located around the corner.
