The best method of transportation in Bayview is very often driving. It is very easy to park, and it is a short car ride to the nearest highway from anywhere in this part of Irondequoit. On the other hand, the transit system in Bayview is quite bad. It is difficult for pedestrians to navigate Bayview because running daily errands is challenging without a car. This part of the community is also not especially conducive to cycling since there are very few bike lanes. Nonetheless, there are few slopes in much of the topography to challenge cyclists.

High schools and primary schools are not particularly plentiful in this area, and accordingly not always within a short distance. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. As far as eating is concerned, buying one's groceries often requires the use of a vehicle in this part of the community.
