Bayou Gauche is an extremely convenient part of the New Orleans metropolitan area for driving. It is especially convenient to access a place to park. Even though there is a moderately high density of cyclists, and it is an even ride to most destinations, biking is occasionally difficult in this community as the bicycling infrastructure is fairly poor. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very convenient for home buyers in Bayou Gauche because almost no daily needs can be met without a vehicle.
Services
It is very rarely an option for property owners in Bayou Gauche to access the closest supermarket as pedestrians. As far as education is concerned, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this part of the New Orleans metropolitan area and therefore they can be a very long trip away.
