Thankfully, there are around 10 bus lines crossing the community, and it is especially convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. The bicycle is a rather poor mode of transportation in this community because riding is rendered difficult by the often sloping terrain, and the cycling network is not very well-developed. There are also relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Baltimore Highlands, even though running common errands is convenient without a car.

It is convenient to reach the nearest supermarket as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in this part of the Greater Baltimore metropolitan area. In addition, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a good number of options, and a small selection of cafes can be found as well. As far as education is concerned, it is a short trip to reach primary schools from most homes for sale in this part of the Greater Baltimore metropolitan area. On the other hand, there are only a limited number of high schools and consequently they can be a long distance away. Locals have the choice between public and private high schools.
