Ashwaubenon offers a peaceful village setting with a relaxed atmosphere and mostly low noise levels. The area features predominantly single detached homes alongside small apartment buildings, primarily built around 1978, providing comfortable two and three-bedroom options. Residents have convenient access to numerous restaurants and coffee shops, with over 100 dining options available. Primary and private schools are within easy reach, while several supermarkets and pharmacies are accessible by a short car ride. Parking is plentiful, and easy highway connections like I-41 facilitate smooth transportation. The village benefits from a few local bus lines that connect the community efficiently.
Ashwaubenon is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and many properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as I-41. However, the public transit service in this village is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the village is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. Moving around by bicycle is sometimes challenging in Ashwaubenon since there are few bike lanes, and there are a good number of hills for cyclists to brave. Ashwaubenon is also not especially suitable for those who travel as pedestrians as running day-to-day errands is at times difficult without the use of a vehicle.
In Ashwaubenon, residents will often be able to reach primary schools without a car. On the other hand, high schools are not especially numerous and therefore tend to require a long pedestrian trip to get to. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. With respect to food, a grocery store is generally reachable within an extended trip from most houses for sale in this village. Moreover, Ashwaubenon is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and there are also about 20 cafes in this part of the Green Bay metropolitan area.
Ashwaubenon is appealing, as it contains both vibrant and quiet areas. Even though this village is not known for its lively ambience, with its about 50 nightlife venues, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located close by. At the same time, this village is reasonably quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic, however some parts can be quite loud, especially around the airport (Austin Straubel Intl), I-41, US Highway 41 or one of the railway lines.
