Ash is particularly car friendly. It is very easy to access a place to park, and most homes for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as I-275. The bike is a rather limited method of transportation in Ash because the cycling network is not very well-developed. Nevertheless, bicycling is made easier by the generally flat terrain. Ash is also not very conducive to people who like to travel as pedestrians because very few daily needs can be met without a car.

High schools and primary schools are not plentiful in Ash, and accordingly may be a very long trip away. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.
