Artesia offers a peaceful and quiet residential setting with predominantly single detached homes and a selection of duplexes and apartment buildings. The neighborhood features housing primarily consisting of two and three-bedroom options, constructed mostly between the 1960s and 1980s, providing a range of architectural styles. Accessibility by car is excellent, with convenient parking and close proximity to highways, helping residents reach destinations with ease. Several bus lines serve the area, with stops close by, adding public transit options. While green spaces are located in neighboring areas, they remain easily reachable for outdoor activities and relaxation. Primary schools are conveniently located throughout the neighborhood.
Driving is a great means of transportation in this part of South San Antonio. It is very easy to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway. In contrast, this part of the community is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically very close by. Getting around as a pedestrian is not especially feasible for house buyers in this part of the community since most daily needs are occasionally challenging to carry out without the use of a vehicle. This part of South San Antonio is also not particularly conducive to biking because there are a fair number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and the bicycling network is not very extensive.
It is convenient to get to the closest grocery store without a car in this part of South San Antonio. Likewise, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a good number of opportunities, and home buyers can enjoy a few cafes as well. In terms of education, primary schools are very easy to reach without a car from any location in this area. However, it can be very hard to access high schools as a pedestrian.
Artesia is a fairly good neighborhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. This part of South San Antonio is quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. Finally, parks are very well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, making them very easy to get to from numerous locations in the neighborhood.
