Arlington Valley is a fairly convenient part of Bloomington for driving. It is very easy to park. On the other hand, the transit network in this part of the city is not very convenient. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighborhood, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most properties. This part of Bloomington is not especially suitable for pedestrians as few daily errands can be run without a car. Arlington Valley is also not particularly suited for bicycling since cyclists are faced with quite a few hills, and the cycling network is rather limited.
The closest grocery store in Arlington Valley is usually only a long pedestrian trip away. Furthermore, this area is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat. Regarding education, primary schools are easy to access without a car from most houses for sale in this part of the city. However, there are only a limited number of high schools and thus they can be a rather long pedestrian trip away.
Arlington Valley is unique in that it has both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people. Although the atmosphere is not the most lively in this area with the nightlife venues in nearby neighborhoods, it is rather challenging to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located relatively far away. At the same time, this part of Bloomington is excellent for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as the streets are very tranquil.
