Ardencroft offers a calm and peaceful environment with well-distributed parks for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. The village features a predominance of single detached homes and townhouses, mostly built before the 1960s, with spacious three-bedroom and larger options available. Accessibility by car is an excellent advantage, with convenient parking and easy access to nearby highways from almost anywhere within the village. A few bus lines run regularly, and most residences are close to a bus stop, providing alternative transportation options. Primary schools are conveniently located throughout the area, and several restaurants add to the local dining choices.
Driving is a great medium of transportation in Ardencroft. It is a very short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this village, and it is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. However, traveling by public transit is challenging in Ardencroft. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the village, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. Ardencroft is not particularly bicycling-friendly since the bicycling network is not especially well-developed. Nonetheless, the topography is mostly flat. Many of the houses for sale in this village are located in places that are also not very conducive to pedestrians because running common errands is sometimes challenging without a vehicle.
Primary schools are especially easy to access as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in this village. In contrast, there are only a very small number of high schools and consequently they can be a very long distance away. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. Concerning food, house buyers in this village commonly need a vehicle to travel to the nearest supermarket. That being said, Ardencroft is a fairly good place in which to eat out.
Ardencroft is a fairly good village to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. This part of the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area is reasonably quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, reaching public green spaces in the village, like Sunnyside Tract and Hanby Park, is very easy since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to visit.
