Arctic Village is especially car friendly. A majority of the homes for sale in this community are located in places that are not very well-suited for pedestrians since meeting daily needs is difficult without a vehicle. Arctic Village is also not very suited for bicycling because there are very few bike lanes, and the area is not especially flat.
In Arctic Village, locals will generally be able to reach both primary and secondary schools without a car. When it comes to eating, in all cases, a vehicle is required to shop for groceries.
