Nearby highways, such as Jack Nicklaus Freeway, are very easy to reach from any location in this area, and it is convenient to park. On the other hand, getting around by transit can be very hard in Appian due to the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is connected by approximately 10 bus lines. The bicycle is a fairly good mode of transportation in Appian. Many of the houses for sale in this neighborhood are located in areas that are not especially suitable for people who like to travel as pedestrians because running common errands is occasionally challenging without a vehicle.
Services
Primary schools often require a very long distance to get to, and there are no high schools in Appian. Concerning eating, house buyers in Appian often have to rely on a vehicle to shop for their groceries in one of about 10 stores. That being said, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of opportunities, and a small selection of cafes is available as well.

Appian has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. Appian is very good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. However, there are around 30 public green spaces nearby for residents to visit, including Tanager Woods and Creek Ridge Parkland, and they are very well-spread out, which makes them easy to access. Finally, although this part of Columbus is not known for its vibrancy, with its approximately 10 bars, it is very hard to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located very far.
