Driving is a reasonably good transportation option in Ambridge. It is convenient to find a parking spot. However, commuting by public transit is challenging in Ambridge. Nonetheless, the borough is served by a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. Ambridge is not very cycling-friendly as riding a bicycle is made arduous by the often hilly topography, and there are few bike lanes. Many of the homes for sale in this borough are located in areas that are also not especially conducive to those who prefer to travel as pedestrians because few common errands can be run without a vehicle.
The nearest supermarket in Ambridge is typically only a very long distance away. Furthermore, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a limited number of coffee shops can be found as well. With regards to education, locals will appreciate that no matter where their house is situated in Ambridge, secondary schools are close by. On the other hand, primary schools are not very abundant and therefore tend to require a rather long distance to get to. Home buyers are served by public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level.
The character of Ambridge is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. It is easy to reach parks from most locations within the borough since there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to discover. Most areas in this part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor.
