On the other hand, the transit in this neighborhood is rather poor. Thankfully, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly around the corner. This area is not very conducive to pedestrians as few common errands can be run without a car. Alta Vista is also not very appropriate for cycling because the terrain is not particularly flat, and there are few bike lanes.
