Cars are an excellent means of transportation in Agawam Town. It is very easy to access a parking spot, and the majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway. However, Agawam Town is not an especially pleasant area for traveling by public transit. Nonetheless, there is the Springfield with access to the Hartford Line. There are about 20 bus lines, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. The bike is a sometimes poor mode of transportation in Agawam Town because there are a good number of hills, and the bicycling network is not very comprehensive. This area is also not very suitable for people who travel as pedestrians as running common errands is occasionally difficult without the use of a vehicle.
Services
High schools and primary schools are not especially plentiful in this area, and therefore not always within a short distance. Locals have the choice between public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. When it comes to food, house buyers in Agawam Town commonly need a car to reach one of around 40 grocery stores. Residents can enjoy over 200 restaurants and coffee shops as well.
