Residents have access to around 40 restaurants and coffee shops, contributing to a vibrant local dining scene. Educational options include convenient access to public and private elementary schools. Bus service connects the area despite its more limited transit options. Parking is generally easy, and many properties are located just a short drive from the nearest highway.
The preferred approach to get around in this township is very often driving. Many properties for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and finding a place to park is generally easy. However, the public transit service in this township is not very frequent. Thankfully, residents are served by the Aberdeen-Matawan with access to the North Jersey Coast Line. There are a few bus lines, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences. Cycling is at times challenging in this township as there are a good number of hills for cyclists to brave, and there are few bike lanes. Traveling as a pedestrian in Aberdeen is also not very popular, even though many common errands can be run without a car.
It is a rather short pedestrian trip to get to primary schools from most homes for sale in this township. On the other hand, high schools are not very abundant and consequently not always within a short distance. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. Concerning eating, the nearest supermarket in this township is usually only a reasonably short pedestrian trip away. Furthermore, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a fair number of choices, and there are also approximately 10 coffee shops in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen is a very good township to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of the Greater New York metropolitan area are very low, as the streets are very tranquil. Lastly, reaching green spaces, including Saint John Vianney Recreation Fields and Geick Park, is easy from numerous locations within the township and there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to explore.
