Although the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this community, its main streets can still be quite dynamic, and finding one of the about 10 nightlife venues is easy as they are generally located a short distance away. Grand Street in particular offers a vast selection of places to go out at night. However, public green spaces, such as Garret Mountain Reservation and West Side Park, are very well-located and there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to relax in, which makes them very easy to access from most locations in 2nd Ward.
