This timbered tract is typical East Texas geography composed mainly of the Piney Woods, a mixed forest of pine and oak. Resources include marketable timber and a pond on the property. There is deep water well, and co-op water and electricity are available. The land is a habitat for abundant wildlife such a white-tail deer, cottontail rabbits, gray squirrels, gray foxes, armadillo and opossum; which they share with at least 37 species of wild birds. This area’s soils and climate are adaptable to the production of a variety of fruit and vegetable crops. Cattle raising is widespread in Harrison County, along with the development of pastures planted to improved grasses.
