Ask Me Anything
I have been thinking back over the past 26 years of my career as a real estate Broker. In the beginning, it was frightening to work all day, seven days a week, without a regular paycheck. I had started off out of college as a tax accountant for a few years and knew that job was not creative enough for me, so I took my financial background and made the leap to become an Entrepreneur! I had to educate myself on all the neighborhoods in my service area, contract documents, financing, inspections and local natural hazards, learn how to effectively market myself and my services. It was tedious, time consuming, and with very little income. But I liked what I was doing, so I worked long hours on my own little ‘start up’ business. I felt this was a service I could provide to people and be proud of it. As I learned from the mistakes, I realized I was in control of the business. The sense of accomplishment and appreciation from my clients is unbelievable when I know that I have lead them through a detailed transaction and they will never be aware of all the landmines I was able to foresee and guide them around. Now I still work long hours and am constantly improving myself as a Broker. Staying at the forefront of technology, keeping current with constantly changing laws and regulations, recognizing the shifting needs of buyers and sellers - these are challenges I enjoy meeting every day. I am blessed to have grown up and own a thriving business in this special part of the world.
