Farms Ranches Land Commercial-Foreign Houses
My career path is unique because of diversity. I practiced as a CPA in public accounting with several national firms for eight years after graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in accounting.
I had a longer career for over 25 years in beef cattle production management, which included extensive experience with feedlot, stocker and commercial cow-calf operations. My formal education in business administration and animal science (MS) provided me with tools to develop programs to maximize production and control operational costs. I believe that buyers and sellers of agricultural related real estate are best served when they mutually agree on a market value which expresses the highest and best use. Production capacity and return on investment are key factors in determining a fair price for both parties of agricultural property transactions. Serving as an agent of either buyer or seller of agricultural properties is enhanced because of my managerial experience.
I had the opportunity to experience foreign commercial property acquisition. I served as a Temporal Affairs Manager of the LDS (Mormon) Church in Moscow, Russia for four years. Besides being the General Manager of the Service Center in Moscow, I also directed real estate acquisition and taught Russian personnel U.S.A. concepts of real estate law and principles.
This was a challenging commercial property endeavor!
It has been my good fortune and experience to assist families in the State of Utah in residential real estate transactions as either a seller’s or buyer’s agent. Because of my fluency in Spanish, I have also assisted Hispanics in residential buy-sell transactions.
My career path has been segmented with religious service. I served in foreign Spanish speaking assignments with my wife, Myrna. We served as Mission President and wife, directing the proselyting and religious service of almost 200 young missionary men and women in Puerto Rico from 1992 until 1995. As a couple, we also served as Temple President and Matron of the Mérida, Yucatan, México Temple from 2007 until 2010. Obviously, these experiences enhanced communication skills in both English and Spanish.
I look forward to the opportunity of assisting other real estate agents and clients in residential, land, commercial and agricultural related real estate transactions, as that assistance is needed and requested. Thank you for considering me.
