While my roots go back generations on Matinicus Island, I moved to Owls Head after college and started a family. I started selling real estate in 1999. As my children grew, I found I missed the island. My family has always been lobstermen on Matinicus. Something brought me to the point of saying that is where I need to be, for at least part of the time. So I named my new lobster boat after my grandmother, and in the winter, I take over a desk in our Rockland office. It’s such a nice balance, I’m lucky I can do it.
While I handle most of the real estate transactions on Matinicus, I enjoy my mainland work as well. I partner with Sharon Tucker for my mainland transactions, and we cover an area from Damariscotta to Camden.
I spend my winters in South Bristol with my husband. I enjoy cooking, hiking, cross-country skiing, time with my grandchildren and flying with my father in his Cessna airplane.
