"Mary-Stewart, a houseSOLD name." I wanted to be an architect from the time I was seven years old and could manipulate a ruler to draw floor plans and elevations. But career paths are often circuitous and mine included the International Clinical Division of Merck & Co.,Inc., a Middle Eastern division for The Chase Manhattan Bank, and several financial product divisions for Shearson Lehman Brothers. While there, as an assistant vice president of national marketing, I was given the project management of working with the architects in designing our offices on the 102nd floor of the World Trade Center -- the 'height' of my career and as close as I would get to architecture in the financial industry. Eventually I traded the corporate world for Manhattan's residential real estate. Every day was a new floor plan and I'd finally found my path.
