Bob Howard began his professional real estate career working for American Airlines corporate planning department in New York City. He has been a part of the central Illinois real estate community since 1977, serving as CFO and Senior VP of Development for Jumer Hotels and Casinos. After Jumers, Bob worked for Cullinan Properties, the largest and fastest growing real estate development firm in Central Illinois. In 2004, Bob and his business partner acquired the commercial real estate office of RE/MAX Unlimited. Bob has over 30 years of experience working with retail, office, health care, industrial, and hotel clients. Past assignments have included: working with planning and zoning department to allow a $2.8 B Scandinavian glass recycling business to find a suitable Peoria location, acting as an owner’s leasing representative for a 150,000 SF, new construction, class A office complex, securing land from an out-of-state owner so client could construct a 580,000 SF life style shopping center, using historic tax credit to develop a downtown landmark into apartments, and act- ing as a tenant’s representative in leasing 30,000 sf office space for a Fortune 50 financial services company in downtown Peoria.
Earned many top production awards including the #1 RE/MAX commercial broker in St. Louis region with over 50 offices, and was recognized by Prudential Real Estate as the #3 commercial sales associate in the country.
Graduate of Cornell University with a BS in Hotel Administration, and a graduate of the Syracuse University School of Management with an MBA in Finance.
Rotary International where he serves as a board member, International Council of Shopping Centers, past board member for the Heart of Illinois Red Cross and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), VIP for Children’s Hospital of Illinois, current board member for East Peoria’s Enterprise Zone, past president of Peoria Association of Commercial Realtors, and First Methodist Church trustee.
