I graduated from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville in 1987 with a B.A. in psychology and minor in Business. I worked briefly as a crisis counselor prior to becoming a Deputy with the Madison County Sheriff's Office. I retired from the department in 2016. While working for the Sheriff Office I obtained my Broker and Managing Broker's licenses in 2010 and 2011. My favorite childhood game of Monopoly came to life when I became a real estate investor. As an investor I've learn to value a property differently as if I were to be an owner occupant. I also learned a few things about the mechanics of a property. No, I don't have the knowledge of a contractor but I can somewhat talk and understand the language. In the process of renting and flipping properties I've learn a great deal & love sharing my knowledge with others. Becoming a real estate agent enhance my knowledge and exposure. I have a better understanding about financing, the real estate market, negotiating, and contracts. I've also developed a good working relationship with appraisers, loan officers, inspectors and realtors. My background in law enforcement will assist you in locating the proper agencies regarding any activity within certain areas. My enjoyment of social activities can also be of assistance in locating your a home in an area that's in proximity of your interests. As an agent I have the opportunity to help others make their real estate dreams come true. I promise that my clients interest will always come first, I'll provide them the same care as though I was purchasing a home & I'll listen to your needs. Most importantly I realize that I work for you.
