I am a longtime area resident, licensed to sell real estate in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 1987. (Yes, that's 30 years!) It can be scary maneuvering through the process for the first time - from learning how to find the right financing, to finding the perfect home and negotiating the contract, and on to the tasks of home inspection, finding an attorney, fulfilling the mortgage requirements, to the final walk-through and closing. I find it very rewarding to see the excitement on the faces of these buyers when I can finally hand them the keys to their first new home. MILITARY FAMILIES: I also work with a lot of veterans and active military families who are relocating to and from the area. (Call me for information about discounts toward closing for U.S. veterans, active military, and their families when buying and/or selling a home!) Helping these families with their housing pursuits takes a lot of flexibility and understanding. I have special training in serving these buyers and sellers, in working with VA loans, and I have worked with a number of different financing companies including USAA and Navy Federal Credit Union."TRANSITIONING" HOME OWNERS: The timing can be tricky - getting your current home sold while preparing to buy your next one. It's important to have the right resources to help coordinate the listing of your home to get the necessary price and terms for your sale. You may be custom building your new home, downsizing for convenience, relocating to another area, or just looking for a different existing home. My goal is to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible.FIRST TIME HOME SELLERS: Selling your first home can be as confusing as it was when buying it. I can help you make the process as easy as possible by guiding you through all the steps needed to move on to your next house.INVESTORS: These transactions are in a category all their own. Whether looking for a house to "fix and flip" or a house that will bring good rental income, there will be a lot of number crunching. When you're ready to sell an investment property, we have the best tools and services to get you the price you need to make the sale work for you.SHORT SALE SELLERS: One of the most challenging situations in real estate is the "short sale." A short sale is sometimes necessary for a home owner who is under water with their mortgage (owing more on a house than the current market value.) I have experience with these transactions, including working directly with banks, lenders, and attorneys, and I will do everything I can to help you get through this difficult type of home sale.
