Susan spent her early years on the Klamath and Yakima Indian Reservation, where her father served as a forest manager for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She moved to West Seattle in the 1970s and has remained here ever since. She loves the community’s small-town atmosphere, convenience, and many beautiful parks. Susan embraces the cultural diversity Seattle has to offer. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education and taught middle and elementary school before becoming a realtor in 1989. She is the single mother of four children ages 22-34. Susan loved her role as “Mom,” from backstage ballet mom to busy soccer mom.
More than 98% of Susan’s business comes from referrals from satisfied buyers and sellers. Clients are impressed by her commitment to understanding and ultimately delivering precisely what they want and need. They feel well informed and represented throughout the process. With more than 26 years in the real estate business, Susan has developed a particular interest in the financial and legal aspects of real estate transactions and has become a respected expert in contract details. She appreciates working with a diverse range of clients and properties. While she specializes in waterfront and view properties in the West Seattle market, she is familiar with all of Seattle’s neighborhoods, including those in Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, Magnolia, and Ballard. One of her favorite aspects of her job is meeting new people and helping them achieve their goals. She also enjoys negotiation. Susan never sees obstacles, only opportunities.
