Robert Abel (Bob)
I was born & raised with an older brother & two older sisters whom I love deeply in New Jersey. I was fortunate enough to have two Extremely Great Parents, if I can become even half the person either of my parents were it would truly be a success. I graduated from WestDeptford High School. I eventually achieved my goal of becoming a New Jersey State Trooper. I then found the love of my life my wife (Gina). My Wife & Family mean the world to me, as to does my dog Cody (My Golden Retriever) my wife & I are huge dog lovers. What I enjoy most is spending time with my wife family & friends. I believe life is too short we must enjoy it while we are here, we cant take it for granted. I value friendship very much & I have had the luxury of having been able to develop several friendships through out my life either from childhood, playing sports or in the work place as well as socially. These close friends I now quite honestly consider as family members. Friendship & Loyalty are a huge part of who I am & who I want to be associated with.
I am a Retired New Jersey State Trooper, a (25) year veteran of the New Jersey State Police. I had worked my way up through the ranks obtaining the rank of a Lieutenant / Station Commander. The New Jersey State police have a set of core Values based on Honor / Duty & Fidelity. I believe this to be a great set of values to carry with you in life as well. I started my career as a member of the 109th Academy Class graduating in November 1987. I began my career in the state police as a road duty trooper, I eventually was selected to be a Trooper Coach / Training Officer for several new recruits graduating the academy. I was a member of the Tactical Patrol Unit, and worked in some of the most active & dangerous station areas in the state of New Jersey. While I was a member of the Tactical Patrol Unit, I was deployed to work in the city of Camden New Jersey which at the time was one of the nations leading city's in violent crimes & homicides per ca-pita. As an Assistant Station Commander the duties & responsibility are endless, you are responsible to supervise & oversee anywhere from 30 or up to and over 50 Troopers on a daily basis. You are in fact the buffer between the station personnel & the station commander. You respond to Major Incidents as the Incident Commander, you oversee the daily operation & activity's of your station & its personnel. You maintain all scheduling monitor & maintain all training records as well as all duty leave. You are the first to deal with any type of issue or complaint that may arise. I was then promoted to the rank of Lieutenant / Station Commander and was assigned to one of the busiest stations in the state of New Jersey (Bridgetown Station), I worked hand in hand with my Sergeant First Class / Assistant Station Commander to assure our station ran as a well oiled machine. I later retired from the New Jersey State Police while supervising Woodstown Station.
After Retirement my wife & I visited friends in Vero Beach, FL as a result of visiting our friends, we fell in love with the people & the area and have since purchased a home. We moved here full time several years ago however to be honest the transition can take some time as you never stop missing family & friends from New Jersey. While here we have developed some extremely close friendships, one of which has motivated me to get into Real Estate. I have always had an interest in real estate, through my involvement with my close friend here in Vero, I subsequently pursued my goal of obtaining my real estate license. I am currently employed at ReMax Crown Realty Vero Beach, FL.
