About Me

Theresa Scheiderer grew up in Marysville and lived in Columbus and Worthington before moving back to Marysville to raise her family in 1997. She attended The Ohio State University and graduated from the Columbus Paraprofessional Institute with a degree in travel and tourism. She worked as a travel agent for ten years and as an Event Planner for a local Marysville business, before obtaining her real estate license in 2006. Theresa has been married to her husband, Scott, a software consultant at Nationwide Insurance, for 30 years. They have two grown children, Juliana and Jack, who are both graduates of Marysville High School. In 2016, she obtained her SRES designation or Senior Real Estate Specialist designation. She is now part of a network of more than 16,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES®designation. Each SRES is required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older. In 2019, Theresa also earned her ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation, which focuses on assisting buyers with their unique needs and challenges when searching for a home. She also founded the successful, “What’sUpMarysville.com” blog and FB page which currently boasts over 2200 followers. Marysville and Union County residents (or those looking to relocate) regularly use these resources to stay up to date on local news, events and real estate related information. Theresa gives back to her community by serving as both a board member and volunteer with Union County Neighbor to Neighbor, a grassroots membership organization, part of the “virtual village” national movement to connect those with time, experience and skills to share with those in need of support for the benefit of the community as a whole. The organization works to connect seniors with volunteers to allow them to continue to live independently.
